About
I build the parts of a product that nobody sees until they break: APIs, data models, queues, deploys. And I build them end to end, so whoever uses them never has to worry about their data, their privacy or their security.
Everything I build is free software. I run Linux, self-host what I can, and treat your data as yours. Based in Spain, working in English and Spanish, open to backend and full-stack roles.

- I do not ask you for an account unless it is needed, I do not track you and I think about protecting your data from day one.

- I am vegan and I help animal shelters in Seville. That is where Huellas comes from.

Software Engineer, Soltel
I learned to design microservices in Java and Node that talk to each other and to external agents. I built a case-scoring system from scratch with Drools. I am now migrating several public grant and scholarship systems into a single robust system that talks to external systems and works with Kafka queues.
- 2022 - 2024
Software Engineer, Therapyside
I learned to keep a platform with more than 5,000 daily users running in production, and that boring is a virtue. I migrated the project from Python 2.7 to 3.7, moved the websockets to Django Channels and built an internal platform so marketing, sales and other teams could manage patients, subscriptions and charts. I worked on the backend of Therapyside, an online therapy platform: couples therapy, onboarding and notifications.

Software Engineer, Z1 Digital Studio
I learned to deliver as a team with real clients, with Scrum or Kanban depending on the project, and that tests are not optional. I helped build products for clients in the US and Canada, such as Waking Up and Storytelling with Data, with Python, Django, Node and TypeScript.
- 2018 - 2020
Higher Technician in Web Application Development (DAW), IES Velázquez
I learned to program for real: Java, JavaScript and databases, and found out I liked the server more than the screen. I earned freeCodeCamp's JavaScript Algorithms and Data Structures certification, competed in Codefest 2019 at Everis and went to many meetups and code fests.

What I do when the laptop is closed.
- Electric guitarMostly metal and rock. I am still learning, and sometimes I record myself on Linux to use it in one of my videos.
- ChessOn Lichess, which is free software too. Always up for a game.
- BoxingA few sessions a week. The only place where I do not think about software.
- Vegan, and animalsVegan for years. I volunteer at animal shelters in Seville and I am building Huellas for the same reason.
